That’s it. That is my motto right now. It’s not easy, but it’s a life saver.
A few months ago I woke up to the reality that my attitude was making life harder than it had to be. I was speaking so much shit and shit is what I was getting back. I know that is harsh and blunt and not a nice word, but it’s the truth. My attitude, which used to be generally uplifting, had taken a nose-dive over the last year or so. I was in agreement with the worst case scenarios of my conditions.
Finances suck. Surroundings suck. People suck. Everything sucks.
Yeah, like that. That attitude was destroying me and inviting destruction to the world around me. You don’t have to understand the principle, but it remains true:
Speak life; reap life.
Speak death; reap death.
The choice remains within the individual.
I hit a wall. I reevaluated. I remembered who I am. I am light because Christ in me is light. Pure, plain, and simple.
So… Be The Sunshine was born. I love, love, love the sun. I love the feel of it on my skin and the kiss of color it leaves behind. I love the smell of a sunny day. I love the way I feel happy after a few minutes of soaking in the sun’s rays. I love the way the branches and leaves reach for the light of the sun and all that it has to offer.
Even on a cloudy, overcast, or rainy day the sun never stops shining. It’s rays may be blocked for a time but it’s always there, warm and bright.
I want to be that way. I want to shine, even in the darkness, even in the storm. I want to be life and warmth and nourishment to myself and others. I will be the sunshine. I am the sunshine. I will remind myself when I’m down to…
Be The Sunshine! π
I like it. I’ll try and remind myself π
